My client, a five star Hotel and Restaurant based in Franschhoek, is seeking to employ an Events / Duty Manager.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of planning events in a hotel environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Duty management experience advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Duty management for the property
  • Co-ordinate weddings and private events with some corporate events, covering all aspects of event management
  • Following standard procedures in an organised and pro-active manner whilst ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and professionalism
  • Completion of accurate quotes, contracts, purchase orders and billing for each event
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth running of each event
  • Maximising sales and meeting departmental objectives and targets
  • Carry out site visits for clients in keeping with event standards
  • Ad hoc reports, clerical and administration duties
