Our client is seeking a talented e-Learning Instructional Designer to join their Training Services Department, based in Durban, in a full-time capacity.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing e-learning and Computer Based Training (CBT) applications and be creative, passionate and proactive and able to work in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Provide vision and direction to the development of e-learning modules.
• Work closely with project stakeholders, i.e. Subject Matter Experts (SME), Project Managers and Department Managers.
• Work with a cross functional team to deliver an e-learning package consisting of high-quality media assets.
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize learning outcomes to ensure maximum value is aligned with product and learning strategy.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• The ability to work in a cross functional team with challenging deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at one time
• Acceptance of feedback and constructive evaluation of work
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with international subject matter experts and target audiences.

• Creative mind, innovative ideas, proactivity and the ability to think and learn fast.
• A positive and engaging attitude in dealing with people.

The following training, skills and/or experience, although not essential, would be an advantage:
• Bachelor of Education
• A second language (preferably Spanish or French)
• Working knowledge of E-learning authoring and development software packages such as
1. Lectora, or
2. Storyline
• Experience with the Mining Qualifications Authority.
• Experience with South African Qualifications Authority.
• Experience with SAM (Successive Approximation Model)
• Experience with voice-over and audio editing software.
