Qualified Diesel Mechanic with experience as a service Foreman, required to ensure effective operations of the workshop department in this Earthmoving Equipment environment. Experience with Excavators and Wheel Loaders essential. Must be able to diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drive components, hydraulic systems and basic auto electrical systems.

Minimum requirement:
• Grade 12
• Diesel Mechanic qualification
• Minimum 3 years exp in the Earthmoving Equipment environment essential, specifically Excavators and Wheel Loaders
• Exp as Service Foreman highly advantageous
• Exp with Excavators and Loaders essential
• Diesel engine and hydraulics experience essential
• Understanding of Auto Electrical system operation highly advantageous
• Experience with tractors and combines essential

Responsibilities:
• Daily repairs in Workshop on Earthmoving and Construction Equipment, i.e. Excavators and Loaders
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and identify cause necessary to service, repair, overhaul or replace parts and components
• Housekeeping
• Field report documentation
• Maintenance abuse reports
• Time sheets
• Monitor and control workshop performance
• Weekly workshop inspections
• Financial management of workshop department, i.e. budgets monitoring, control financial processes
• Customer service
• Staff management
