A large multidisciplinary Construction company operating throughout South Africa, Africa is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Earthmoving Plant Agents/Managers with a sound knowledge of heavy earthmoving Plant (Yellow Metal) and who are prepared to travel throughout Africa.

They are looking for people that they can develop and grow with the position and the company over the next 10 - 15 years.

There are 2 positions one is to do the Technical/Data Analysis of the plant and maintenance planning the other position the person will be looking after all the site workshops where ever they maybe so must be able to travel and spend time at the various sites, this is a prerequisite and is not negotiable.

Position: Plant Agent/Manager

Qualification: BSc/BTech/ND Mechanical Engineering and or Trade Tested Millwright/Diesel Mechanic

Experience Min 10-15 years on Heavy Earthmoving Equipment (Yellow Plant). Min 5 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all preventative and corrective maintenance of the fleet
- Manage all legal requirements such as licensing, Calibration, COF
- Repairs & Maintenance on Heavy duty Earthmoving plant including engines, brakes, clutch, suspension, limited
electrics/Pneumatics/hydraulics
- Monitoring of Costs
- Stock control (parts)
- Administrative work such as job cards, purchasing, maintenance schedules, maintenance books etc.
- Health and Safety
- Upholding the Company’s policies and procedures
- Able to travel and work away from home (site visits).
