The key function of the position of Economist is on the investment analysis activities of the organisation

Requirements:
Masters/PhD in Economics Majoring in Economic History/ Macro Economics/Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE)

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the provision of high quality insight on market data in order to facilitate the investment decision making processes, the company investment strategies and marketing strategies.
The economist must be able to apply economic data, tools, concepts and prepare an analysis to support the investment team on their analysis of the relevant sectors and companies
Equip the company different distribution channels and marketing for business development purposes. Forecasts, analyses and documents economic and geo-political conditions affecting industry and/or business groups of an organisation.
Performs modelling including decision trees and calculations, extracts data from literature and primary sources to prepare and present to management.
Provides economic information based on research to all divisions of the organisation.
Responsibilities include general economic research on domestic/international developments using econometric techniques and models.
Reports on fundamental and cyclical aspects of the domestic/international economy to management and clients.
