EDI Specialist – JHB
Type: Fixed Term Contract 1-3 years
Salary: R35-45K Dep on experience

You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining EDI solutions within the group, from requirement through development into testing and go-live, will be responsible for all internal and external communications.

Minimum Requirements:
• 4 year degree in IT or business management
• Minimum 3 Years experience exposed to EDI processes in a developer role
• 3 years business process analysis, 3 years systems analysis
• SAP idoc relevant Training
• Knowledge of EDI Standards
• Project Management Education
• ITPM

Outputs:
• Concept design based on business requirements with agreed timing and deliverables and to communicate with project owner, sponsor, customer, supplier re: mapping, testing and trouble shooting and go-live.
• Ensure that all EDI processes have been investigated/ considered in obtaining the specifications of the business requirements
• Propose and review system design and evaluate EDI alternatives
• Present proposed EDI solutions to both IT Applications and Business Management. (local and international)
• Control all aspects of EDI development; maintain regular reports on project progress; measure actual progress against planned objectives; escalate any deviations from approved projects, maintenance requests; regular reporting on development status
• Ensure that all agreed project timings with the various project teams are achieved; provide support to all IT departments in achieving the approved company EDI objectives; ensure compatibility with agreed Group IT strategies and standards; ensure that all workflows for an EDI process operate correctly prior to hand over to the operations team; handover application operations to operations teams after development
