Educational Psychologist

Job Purpose
Manage the provision of Psychological services to targeted clients of the Career Centre by overseeing the administration of assessments, offering of guidance, counselling and supervision of interns within the professional, ethical framework of the HPCSA using a professional network, in order to help achieve the objectives of the Career Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all counselling and assessment activities and processes carried out in the BHP Billiton Career Centre.
2. Manage and supervise internship programme as required in compliance with the ethical guidelines of the HPCSA.
3. Design, develop, market & promote programmes, career assessment delivery model(s), work processes and procedures to a network of stakeholders, donors, supporters, institutions and prospective clients.
4. Manage the provision of psycho-education and training, crisis management and trauma support to clients.
5. In collaboration with Senior Programmes Officer, establish, promote and maintain collegiality among staff to deliver programmes where possible.
6. Provide limited therapeutic intervention to clients referred intra and inter departmentally from Stakeholders and within referral network.
7. Ensure monitoring and evaluation of quality standards in service delivery to improve service.
8. Develop, Collate, prepare and table proposals, learning content/material and activity reports as required by the Career Centre Manager.
9. Deliver on tasks delegated by the Career Centre Manager.

Key Requirements:
• Masters Degree in Education/Community/Psychology
• HPCSA registration
Relevant managerial and professional experience in:
• Clinical supervision of interns (Psychometrics, Counselling and Psychology)
• Career assessment, counselling and education
• Professional Psycho-Education
• Psychological Report Writing and Supervision
• Psycho-Therapeutic interventions
• Training & development processes
• Materials development
• Schools/Department of Education/Psychometry and Psychology Training Institutions liaison
• At least three years Post Registration with HPCSA.
• Required Knowledge and Understanding of:
