Position (Job title): Administrative Assistant
Location: Somerset West
Cape Town – Somerset West
Line Manager : Managing Director

Job summary:
To assist the Wealth Planners / Financial Advisors / Wealth Managers in the implementation of clients’ financial planning and investment instructions.


Key areas of responsibility:
• Consolidate and summarise all policies & investments
• Prepare the necessary cash flows to ensure sustainability of income
• Identify the appropriate investment vehicle and structure
• Identify the client’s capital & income needs in the event of death/disability/severe illness/retirement
People:
• Liaise closely with Financial Planners
Administration:
• Advise Financial Planners on where to invest, and tax implications
• Drafting of reports including cash flow, asset allocations and adding annexures as per instructions from the Wealth Planner
• Provide additional assistance to the Wealth Planners after presentation of the report, when necessary
• Research investment portfolios and investment performance
• Provide recommendations on various products and investment structures
• Track relevant legislation and keep up to date on investment solutions
• Adhoc risk cover reporting (if required by Wealth Planner)
• Client feedback
• Investment administration (New Business, withdrawals, etc.)
• Analysis on investment (i.e. unit trusts, shares etc.)

Education:
• A qualification is essential (e.g. B Com)

Experience Required:
• Depending on application - experience needed (preference) – higher salary.
• If no experience (inhouse training will be provided) – lower salary.
Relevant personal attributes:
Knowledge
- Proficient on Microsoft Windows (intermediate level in Excel)
- Building financial models in Excel
- Portfolio tools provided by Asset Management Companies (Financial tools)
