Minimum criteria regarding the position 

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • ND HR Management or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification.
  • 3 – 6 Years general HR Management experience, of which at least 3 years must be in Industrial Relations.
  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Office.
  • SAP / HRIS experience

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Talent Management

  • Manage the overall sourcing of talent, from sourcing to onboarding, in line with business requirements and processes.
  • Manage the talent management process in line with business requirements and processes.

Compensation & Benefits Management

  • Negotiate, prepare and offer salaries packages to internal hires as well as potential new employees in conjunction with Senior Management.
  • Support the business in all main agreement terms and conditions of employment implementation and monitoring.
  • Support managers in all out of cycle processes.
  • Support managers in the annual salary planning process.
  • Ensure all jobs are graded in accordance with the company processes.
  • Support the benefits management processes, inclusive of disability, death, provident fund and medical aid, amongst others.
  • Facilitates all employee changes on the payroll and HR systems.
  • Ensures governance is followed on all compensation changes.

Employment Relationships

  • Support managers in all disciplinary and grievance cases and ensure procedural and substantive compliance in line with the company disciplinary code and procedure.
  • Support managers in all terminations for operational reasons in line with local labour legislation and company policies.
  • Support managers in all incapacity cases.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are rolled – out and complied with.
  • Represent the company at externally referred cases, i.e. conciliation and arbitration.
  • Liaise with legal counsel where necessary on all Labour Court matters.
  • Together with line managers and employees, foster a healthy ER environment.
  • Facilitate all employee wellbeing programs, inclusive of the HIV/AIDS program.
  • Manage the bargaining unit environment structures, e.g. trade union and management meetings.

Organisational Development and Effectiveness

  • Develop and implement the workplace skills plan for the region / site through the Development planning process.
  • Facilitate and/or arrange training programs as identified by business.
  • Champion all change initiatives for the region / site.
  • Facilitate the employee engagement processes for the region / site.
  • Implement the business organizational design as per business requirements.
  • Partner with managers to ensure a high performance culture within teams.

Administration

  • Ensure all data quality is 100% accurate.
  • Ensure all HR people management processes are in place and complied with.
  • Ensure all employee lifecycle administration processes, e.g. new hires, terminations, etc. are complied with.

Relationships And Internal/External Interfaces

  • Liaises with all managers and employees at all levels.
  • Suppliers of HR services.
  • Global colleagues.
