MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Work with the instructional designers in the design and development of learning experiences.
This multi-functional role focuses on assisting the instructional designers with the development and presentation of study material utilising rapid eLearning authoring tools.
The role further provides development support to the Head: Research and Development and the Instructional Designers.
CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

1.
Design and development of eLearning material

Collaborate with the Instructional Designers on the conceptual design of online learning material to ensure incorporation of academic learning principles.

Designing and creating engaging, effective and interactive e-learning courses for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes:

§
Creating SCORM content using Articulate Rise;

§
Building quizzes, assessments and learning interactivity;

§
Incorporating video content into learning material; and

§
Testing of courses prior to their release on all devices;

Applying sound project management principles in the design, development and roll-out of online learning material, to ensure timelines and quality expectations are met.

· Ensure utilisation of sound learning design principles which meet the needs of teaching staff, students, the subject matter experts (SMEs) and the business objectives of the organisation.

Incorporating the iQA brand and reinforce brand identity through skillful use of graphic standards (photography, color, typography, layout) in learning material.
·
Provide development support to the Head: Research and Development and Instructional Designers.
·
Continuously build personal knowledge of e-learning, training, technology applications, and best practices with emphasis in digital delivery.

2.
Research & Collaboration

· Work with the Head: Research and Development in identifying and reviewing course development projects.

· Participate in team review processes to ensure successful roll-out and launch of courses.

· Reporting on progress and status of projects.

3.
Ad hoc requirements

· Any other responsibilities and outputs as required by leadership from time to time.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of e-learning development experience in an Academic field or other e-learning experience in a similar educational or related environment having extensive interaction with development and presentation of learning material.
Working knowledge of video technologies
Working experience in and/or understanding of Graphical Design
Working knowledge of Moodle LMS
Project Management application
KEY FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE (AREAS OF EXPERTISE)
Articulate Rise with a strong focus on developing content for a mobile first approach.
Experience in Articulate 360
Apply project management principles during the development of projects
Excellent command of English grammar

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:
