A multi – national engineering conglomerate in Johannesburg is on the look for a Junior Electrical Building Services Technologist to join their electrical building services division. This consultancy is dominating the electrical market in Southern, Northern and Western Africa.

Qualification:
B. Tech: Electrical Engineering
Non AA status (advantageous)

Skills & Experience:
Design development from conception to detail design for lighting and small power layouts, CCTV, access control, smoke detection, nurse call, and public address systems
Liaising with clients to qualify project specifications
Perform site inspections (1st fix, 2nd fix, etc)
Project cost control
Assisting senior engineers with designs
2-3 years’ Building Services experience

Your main responsibilities will be to produce cutting edge electrical and electronic designs for lighting and small power layouts, CCTV, access control, smoke detection and nurse call systems. Other responsibilities will include site inspections (1st fix, 2nd fix, etc), project cost control, and liaising with clients. Typical projects that you will work on are hospitals, data centres, international airports, shopping malls, and green star office blocks.
