Electrical Engineer - East London
A vacancy exists in the Buffalo City office for an Electrical Engineer to commence duties in the Energy & Resources Sector as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for management of high voltage, substation and transmission line electrical designs done by the sector Management of project from inception to completion Preparation of high voltage electrical design and specifications Construction monitoring and contract management Responsible for adherence to internal Quality Standards Responsible for financial control on the project Effective liaison with project team Attend client meetings Identifying the requirements and needs of the client Follow ups with client Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Professional Registration Knowledge and Experience Minimum of eight years power distribution experience Project Management experience is essential Knowledge of ESKOM and municipal environment an added advantage Behavioural Competencies Pro-active, self starter Accurate and detail orientated Ability to work independently Strong analytical focus Excellent communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
