One of Cape Town’s most famous shopping centres is on the hunt for a young, dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Facilities Contracts Manager to join their electrical division. This shopping mall has been operational for several decades and is home to some of the most exclusive and most luxurious brands in the world. You will join a first class facilities management team and will be groomed to take over as the Electrical H. O. D. The ideal candidate must be hands-on and must have strong managerial skills. This is an EE/AA position.



Qualification:

NDip/BTech/BEng/BSc: Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Pr. CPM Registration (adv)



Skills & Experience:

Ordering of material, quote estimates for projects, manage skilled labour on-site, attend site meetings and approve schematics of panels

Perform electrical fault finding on industrial and commercial installations, reading construction drawings for industrial and commercial installations, distribution board installation and wiring, installations of electrical wire ways and conduit, wiring of installation of plug points

Install Dali lighting controls, generator reticulation, 3 phase and single phase motors, LED lighting, light sensors, LT reticulation, solar lighting, ASCO HVAC switches, data center and earthing layouts

Plan, co-ordinate & manage electrical maintenance & refurbishment projects according to tenant specifications (incl. tenant installations)

Monitoring all projects and provide weekly progress reports on asset conditioning

Preparing schedule of quantities and technical specifications for work required as well as tender and contract documents

Ensure adherence to facilities safety measures for on-site purposes and conduct all contract administration

Extensive knowledge of HVAC, ducting, kitchen extractions, hydraulic work, electrical switchgear, transformers and electrical reticulation installations

4 – 8 year’s Electrical Facilities Project Management Experience (3 year’s Supervisory Construction/Project Management experience)



Job Description:

Your duties and responsibilities will include planning, co-ordination and management of electrical maintenance and refurbishment projects according to tenant specifications, monitoring all projects, scheduling of BOQ’s and technical specifications. Other duties will be to carry out site inspections, ensuring adherence to facility safety regulations and presenting reports to executives. This is an EE/AA position.
