The key responsibilities are:

• Coordination and supervising of all activities in the Electrical Department;
• Maintenance of assets, machinery and equipment;
• General factory maintenance to ensure 100% availability to comply with legislation;
• Conduct and supervisor new electrical installations;
• Supervising and control staff and independent contractors;
• Ensure effective problem-solving;
• Facilitate administrative tasks (e.g. to obtain quotes);
• Comply with statutory requirements AND Company policies and procedures;

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified electrician with a recognized Trade Test with post qualification experience;
• 5 - 10 years appropriate experience, 3 of which in a supervisory capacity;
• Valid Wireman’s Licence will be an advantage;
• Experience in Low and Medium Voltage installations will be an advantage;
• Essential experience in FMCG Production and Factory maintenance including control systems;
• Voltage reticulation system exposure;
• PLC experience will be an advantage;
• A.C & D.C Drives / Motors;
• Knowledge on Pneumatic systems;
• Person needs to be fit for working at heights;
• The ability to work under pressure in a production environment;
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime and weekends as per operational requirements;
• Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
