ELECTRICIAN (12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT), CULLINAN, RNEG
TRADE ELECTRICIAN + 5 YEARS EXP ELECTRICIAN IN PLANT/PROJECT ENV + HT EXP + SIEMENS S7 PLC/MCC STARTERS/ADROIT EXP

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements
Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman
Develop, modify, construct/fabricate and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure
Communicate with clients and supervisors on maintenance activities performed and equipment handover
Required to work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done
Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise

Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Electrician with Trade Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
Valid Public Driver’s License Code EB (08)
5 years’ experience as an Electrician in a plant/project environment
HT Experience
PC Literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows System

Other Skills / Competencies
Pass Vienna Assessment (Level 2) - (test to be tested on mine)
Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal) and one other official language
Planning, leading and organisational abilities
Independent, proactive thinking, motivated and have the ability to do own job planning
Siemens S7 PLC, industrial instrumentation, Siemens Simacode MCC starters and Adroit experience will be advantageous
High level of multi-skilling, including Cutting, Welding, Fitting and Rigging
Electrical Construction work and planning thereof
