Job Description

Must be able to work with and understand the Bill of Material and recognise the different components when equipment from client is received.
Disassemble company equipment, pinpoint components that need to be replaced and provide recommendations on equipment’s life duration.
Foregather parts received from company warehouse as stated by the drawings and Bill of Materials.
Must complete wiring connections and cable lay out as per drawing.
In depth knowledge on the functions of electrical components and adjustments thereof.
Performing start up and commissioning activities as well as energizing equipment.
Help with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Be present during site activities for refurbishing and electrical installation activities.
Maintaining electrical installations of administration buildings and workshop.
Continuously maintaining work station and discussing ways to improve your working environment.
Ensuring that electrical parts are accurately assembled according to a schedule.
Bringing assembly discrepancies to light and proposing corrective and improved action.
Must be capable of making up components in accordance to drawings.
Focusing on quality delivery and cost effectiveness.
Ensuring that there are no quality defects.
Recognising and complying to safety and regulatory requirements of the company guidelines.
Identify excluded or incorrect information on the drawings.
When needed, asking for assistance.
Actively try to meet the client’s satisfaction

Minimum Requirements

Electrician Trade Test
At least 4 years Industrial Electrical environment experience
Experience on smelter equipment & cranes
Experience in installation of electrical equipment in panels and installation of lights & plug circuits
Must have knowledge in Electrical wiring of panels, numbering and electrical cable installations & connections
Must have a valid driver’s license
