Electrician - Qualified Trade Test (Red Seal) Electrician with experience / background in Instrumentation Mechanician.

Registered Installation Electrician would be advantageous
Qualified Electrician with at least 3 years experience in Electrical Maintenance, including 11kV switching circuits, MCC maintenance, VSD and PFC units, basic PLC and/or DCS experience.
Instrument Mechanician work experience will be a requirement with a working knowledge of Instrumentation (level, pressure, temperature, PH, conductivity, flow, valves, weighing systems.)
Basic PLC and/or DCS experience coupled with knowledge and understanding of Fibre optic networks as well as a knowledge of Profibus-DP and Foundation Fieldbus will be an added advantage
Preventive Maintenance. Strong fault finding ability. Knowledge of drives and PLC's. Day to day shutdown planning. Good knowledge of rotating machines. Be able to do failure analysis. Budget Control. Do plant improvements, small projects.
React to plant breakdowns within reasonable time.
Complete electrical maintenance on 11kV and 400V ac systems, VSD drives and PFC units.
Mechanician duties will include calibrations of all field instrumentation, reading of loop diagrams and P&ID drawings and red line drawings with changes.
Do fault finding on field equipment and PLC and DCS systems.
Ensure spares availability
Liaise with operations to confirm correct plant operation
This position would need to work shifts. Drivers license is needed.
