ELECTRICIAN POSITION – NELSPRUIT:
PURPOSE:
• Carry out maintenance and repairs of electrical systems and equipment.
• Provide assistance in other areas of maintenance as required
• Attend to clean-ups at workshops, sub stations and transformer rooms.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a wireman’s license – non negotiable
• Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in a continuous production environment with experience in maintenance of heavy machinery;
• Qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 / N3 plus Trade test : Electrician
• Competent knowledge and experience in : Pneumatics, AC/DC drives, Siemens PLC, Boilers, Cable joints, Types of cables and cabling systems, MV (up to 11 kv) experience, MV (up to 11kv) switching, Transformer knowledge, Air compressor knowledge, Standby generator experience, Gas burner knowledge, Direct current motors, UPS systems, Distribution systems, Tacho's and encoders, Fault finding, Brakes & Clutches, Luminaires and lighting systems, Earthing systems, Motor control centres, Ability to interpret hydraulic drawings, Ability to interpret electrical drawings, DMS Preventative maintenance system.
• Isolation & permit to work (LOTO), Risk Assessment, MS Office,
