A career opportunity exists for an Electrician to join a manufacturing factory in Durban.The successful incumbent will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Minimum Requirements

•Trade tested electrician
•Wireman's licence
•N6 or National Diploma in •Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
•Five (5) years experience in a similar role.

Job Specification

•Drive plant uptime and availability by enforcing Preventative maintenance
•Management of shutdown activities.
•Carry out plant modifications where required.
•Outsource maintenance and servicing of various plant and equipment.
•Report on all breakdowns.
•Ensure reaction times are kept to a minimum.
•Evaluate and procure equipment and spares.
•Draw up specifications in terms of plant requirements.
•Control capital budget expenditure.
•Recommend and implement engineering solutions to product development (new and existing products).
•Provide expert advice and problem solving techniques.
•Management and development of staff
