Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to take up the role of an Electrician.

Key Performance Areas

• Installation and commissioning of electrical plant and equipment by pulling and joining cables, handling / lifting / mounting plant and equipment, terminating to power source, testing and certification of system.
• Check by inspection and testing that new / repaired / modified / reconditioned electrical plant and equipment brought into the workshop / onto site meet specification/s.
• Decide by inspection and examination whether equipment, plant and installations should be repaired, replaced or reconditioned referring to engineering specifications and manuals and using testing and diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Maintain electrical plant and equipment by scheduling maintenance inspections, isolating sections of plant, tracing and finding faults.
• Compiling and maintaining inspection and maintenance registers.
• Supervise and allocate work to Electrical Assistant/s and Apprentices based on knowledge of their skill level/s.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring that subordinates do the same.

Required Qualifications / Experience
• Matriculation (Grade 12).
• NQF 4 Trade Test (Section 13) or Section 26(D) trade tested Artisan, appointed after RPL completed
• Registered Installation Electrician (OHS Act 1993).
• 2 Years cumulative work experience as a Registered Installation Electrician in the industrial
