Electronic Development Engineer

One of our clients who is leader in machinery for the Forestry and Agriculture industries is seeking to employ an Electronic Engineer to be permanently based at their George office. The successful candidate should be able to design, assemble and install the electronic process/functional control of automated equipment whilst documenting the software and hardware aspects of the job.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology in Electronics or Mechatronics
Must have 5-8 years’ experience with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a real-time embedded industry
Must have experience in ARM microcontrollers, pc board design, population and testing.
Must be able to program in C/C++
Must be able to design electronic systems that control mechanical processes and functions
Must be able to integrate electronic and software systems
Must have experience with working with Qt, Doxygen and version control software (e.g GIT, SVN etc.)
Must have experience in generating documentation for FATP, ATP and BOM
Must have experience in working with low level protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN and UART)
Must have knowledge of high-level network protocols like CANOpen and TCP/IP
Must have experience with hardware design for EMI
Must be in possession of a driver licence code B
