Our Vehicle Fleet client in Midrand is looking for an Electronic Engineer.

The design, development, qualification and implementation of firmware/hardware for general electronic products such as GSM/GPS tracking units.
Technical support of products and systems to manufacturing, vendors, technology partners installation centres, customers etc.
Project management and technical liaison with external development partners.
Research and development of new technologies to be used by the development team.
Assist in the testing and stabilizing of the product/project in conjunction with other team members where required.

Educational Requirements & experience needed:

• Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering is required. Also busy with or already completed a masters degree is a requirement.
• Good tertiary marks, especially with regards to final year project/thesis.
• Embedded software development experience in C is essential.
• Three years experience in electronics engineering and hardware design is preferable.
• Understanding of RF and wireless communications is preferable.
• Must have been part of a managed design project from start to finish, using project management fundamentals.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English essential.
• Team orientated work personality.
