Key performance areas
• Deploying and optimizing email, SMS and other direct marketing programs that drive customer engagement and retention;
• Analyzing campaign results – including audience, promotions, messaging, creative, deliverability, open rates, click through rates and conversion. Report on results and provided insights and recommendations;
• Sequencing and building trigger-based nurture programs for each defined persona;
• Executing A/B and multi-variate test programs to evaluate email marketing strategy, including frequency, audience and content;
• Performing quality control checks and best practices to produce error-free work;
• Handling resolution of issues and any risks related to email;
• Working with our various Email Service Providers
• Adhering to email and SMS standards, processes and best practices;
• Working cross-functionally with Brand & Creative, Developers, Designers, PR, etc.
• Using industry best practices to help grow and maintain a clean email and SMS list to minimize occurrences of unsubscribes, bounce rates and spam marks;
• Monitoring deliverability of subscriber interaction with emails, complaint rates, bounce rates and Sender Score rank to reduce risk of being blacklisted;
• Researching competitive landscape and best practices, and make adjustments to plans and operational activities based upon identified information.

Skills and attributes
• Excellent knowledge of MS office (excel and word)
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
• Experience using outbound email/SMS marketing software
• Strong organisation skills
• Have an understanding of basic marketing principals and email best practice policies
• Experience executing and optimizing strategic acquisition and nurture programs.
• Experience in strategizing and setting up triggered email programs is a plus.
• Experience establishing effective measurement and reporting programs that deliver insights into our business enabling us to make informed decisions that increase program effectiveness.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills well-developed organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Basic HTML experience and competency is a plus.
• Experience with the IBM Marketing Cloud and Selligent is a plus
