This role is in the Electronics R&D sector. All duties would take place in this context.

Develop software for embedded systems that covers the following range of applications:

* Microcontroller programming
* Embedded Communications
* GSM
* Mobile Software
* Embedded Linux

* Product Development
* Product Enhancement
* Testing
* Documentation

Key Job Deliverables:

* Utilise Company Development Processes
* Become a contributing member of the Dev Team
* Deliver Production Ready Firmware

Background work experience:

* 7+ years Embedded Systems Development
* C or C++
* BSc/BEng or BTech Electrical Engineering

Advantageous:

* Hardware Design
* Experience with ST8, PIC or ST ARM
* Linux Development (kernel, file system, drivers)
* Linux Embedded Softwar using GNU C, C++ and Qt
* Embedded communications (RS232, RS485, USB and IP), protocols and GSM using AT Commands
* GSM using IP
* Mobile Software Development
