Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and or review relevant policies and procedures in regard to working conditions and terms of employment.
• Formulate and implement monitory controls to ensure compliance with all employment laws.
• Formulate and implement appropriate IR intervention guidelines for staff and managers.
• Conduct research on employment legislation and make appropriate recommendations to management.
• Compile and submit Industrial Relations reports to management.
• Coordinate the company bargaining forum activities and represent the company in these meetings as well as maintain records thereof.
• Represent the company at the CCMA in regard to all dispute matters.
• Facilitate all labour court matters in consultation with the company appointed firm of attorneys.
• Coordinate the company Employment Equity Committee meetings and represent the company in these meetings as well as maintain records
thereof.
• Compile and monitor the implementation of the company Employment Equity plan.
• Compile and submit Employment Equity report to Department Of Labour.
• Advice and resolve all dispute related matters i.e. misconducts, grievances and strikes including maintaining proper records thereof and reporting
thereon.
• Facilitate a good working relationship between employees and managers.
• Support and advise managers on industrial relations matters.
• Conduct and or facilitate training for managers and employees on all aspects of employment relations.
• Mediate disputes between staff, management and unions.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Perform and provide support to other company Human Resource functions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Legal degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5-6 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Experience in representing companies at CCMA.
• Experience in advising organisations going through repositioning.
• Experience in researching and developing policies.
