Job Description
The successful incumbent will be an energetic and driven as well as a dynamic thinker, enthusiastic, professional and people orientated.The role includes resolving of issues in dispute within the Company in line with Labour Relations regulatory requirements, development of learning material and facilitation of learning interventions related to Employee Relations, assistance with the drafting of codes, contracts, policies and procedures. This is a front facing role that provides exemplary levels of support telephonically, via email and in a face to face environment. A positive and can-do attitude is mandatory and a solution-focused individual will thrive in this fast paced environment.

Requirements:

Required Minimum Education / Training:

Grade 12
Degree or relevant Diploma (Certificate)

Required Minimum Experience:

2 - 3 years’ experience in a Labour Relations role
Experience in chairing hearings essential
Experience in CCMA representation preferable

Main duties:

Labour Relations Consulting
Providing value-add consulting to the business by keeping abreast of all relevant legislation i.e. LRA; BCEA; Case Law and Jurisprudence; Codes of Good Practices; Court rules etc.

Advising management and staff on correct interpretation and application of labour legislation and any amendments
Responding to queries received from employees, management and external parties
Assessing of evidence presented by the business and implementing the necessary disciplinary sanctions
Setting up and chairing of disciplinary hearings and communicating the relevant outcome
Ensuring queries sent to the ER division are attended to timeously
Keeping a clear record of all administration pertaining to labour relations
Completing quality checks on relevant documentation being implemented in the business

Litigation Services

Preparing documents and evidence for use in the litigation process
Consulting and preparing witnesses for litigation purposes
Advising management in respect of outcome of cases i.e. Settlement to employee; Dismissal; Award/Order against the Company
Development of learning material and facilitation
Conducting learning interventions relating to Employee Relations

Day-to-day employee relations advice to business unit managers and mandate managers/team leaders
Update business unit managers quarterly on changes to legislation/procedures
Keeping up to date with relevant legislation changes and case law and communicating this to business
Drafting of Codes, Contracts, Policies and Procedures
a) Assessing and incorporating best practice within Employee Relations
b) Implementing relevant contracts, policies and procedures
Administration and Reporting
Updating appropriate HRIS system
Compiling weekly/monthly/annual reports
Assist in general filing
Assist with general administration

Salary: R20,000.00 /month CTC
