Employee Relations Specialist - Pretoria

Draft and implement supporting Employee Relations practices and procedures; Guide in reviewing union agreements and ensure compliance thereof; Assist in managing relationships with the respective union; Lead management in the interaction with union, other employee representative bodies and employees; Monitor adherence to the application of labour legislation, conditions of employment and other Labour Relations matters;
Conflict resolution at a collective level between Scheme, union and employee consultative forums as well as at an individual level in counselling, disciplinary and grievance matters; Advise and represent (where applicable) the Scheme at various organisations i.e. CCMA, Labour Court; Develop management and statutory reports for both internal and external stakeholders; Facilitate and conduct training to various levels of management.

Diploma or Degree in Industrial Relations or relevant Human Resources Qualification (NQF Level 6); Post graduate qualification in Employee Relations/Labour law would be advantageous; 5 years’ experience in Employee Relations; Proven knowledge of South African Labour Legislation and Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other key labour prescripts; Proven track record of exposure to CCMA Proceedings and labour Court cases; Proven track record of managing collective labour relations (unions)
