Our prestigious client is seeking EN’s with experience in frail care to work in the most luxurious and rewarding of all retirement villages in Tokai and Noordhoek.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that Resident/Patient individual medication is always available in liaison with Doctors and Pharmacies
Ensure that prescribed medication is administered correctly and timeously and within the guidelines of the Staff Nurse Scope of Practice
Ensure that staff performs their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and their individual contracts of employment.
Recording of doctor’s instructions
Ensuring that medicine charts are written up correctly
Be aware of and up to date with, all nursing practices and policies of the Company
Writing of day/night report
Check and sign off-duty and attendance registers; ensure that staff have correctly completed latter
Check consumables charges for each patient/resident with
Ensure that special diet sheets (where applicable) are accurate and up to date
Ensures that the Catering Department is aware of all special dietary requirements and supervises the serving of all meals on the shift to ensure compliance with these

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be an Enrolled Nurse – SANC Registered
Must have a minimum of 3 years nursing experience
Skills: Interpersonal, communication, ability to work under pressure, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Well spoken, neat presentation and must be able to communicate with the elderly
