• MECH / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
• GCC ( GOVERNMENT CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY) – FACTORIES
• The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years management experience;
• Good understanding of Quality Systems and Risk management
• Computer literate;
• Workable knowledge of Pragma maintenance programme will be an advantage;
• Valid Driver’s Licence;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Assertive, self-motivated with strong supervisory skills;
• Converse fluently in both English and Afrikaans
DUTIES:
•
• Accepts accountability in terms of OHS Act, GMR 2(1);
• Plan, control and administer the day to day activities of the various engineering disciplines of the mill maintenance;
• Ensure optimum plant availability and machine life through effective and timeous equipment maintenance;
• Specify and maintain plant and equipment safety standards in compliance with OHS Act;
• Use innovative design ideas to streamline production processes and reduce down time;
• Optimum utilisation of manpower and equipment in the engineering department;
• Manage annual engineering revenue and capital budgets and personnel budgets;
• Manage departmental activities, including information flow, documentation and communications;
• Ensure optimum stock holding, efficient inventory control and effective procurement of MRO materials;
• Ensure that the quality of engineering work performed and equipment maintained meets or exceeds acceptable standards;
