JOB PURPOSE
Deliver the Engineering Reliability of the factory to ensure the production output required to satisfy customer demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead by example ensuring Safety is the number 1 business priority.
• Ensure compliance of Engineering Team to OHS Act and Regulations.
• Ensure compliance of all factory equipment and machinery to OHS act and regulations.
• Assume position of the factory GMR2.
• Ensure SG EHS Management system is correctly implemented within the engineering department driving the safety culture of the business.
• Validate the Engineering Team structure and resources to ensure the Engineering Departments objectives are delivered.
• Assess the Engineering Teams capability and ensure aligned to the delivery of the Engineering Departments objectives.
• Train and develop the Engineering Team in line with identified gaps in capability and required succession planning.
• Ensure the Engineering Reliability of the factory is aligned with the production departments requirements to ensure delivery of the required
level of Customer Service.
• Apply WCM PM methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of Engineering Reliability in line with the annual budget.
• Manage the Engineering & maintenance cost in line with the annual budget.
• Deliver the Engineering Team components of the Factory Annual Improvement Plan using defined WCM methodologies contributing the
factory target of 3% cost reduction.
• Define the Engineering Department Budget (1 Year).
• Define the Engineering Department Long Range Plan (3 Year).
• Identify the Capital Investment Projects required to deliver the Engineering Department Budget & Long Range Plan.
• Support the delivery of the Company Capital Investment Plan as required.
• Define and maintain the Engineering Department Annual Plan consisting of major events, people development and improvement projects.
Support the delivery of the Company Capital Investment Plan as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate university degree (BSC, B.Eng. Chemical / Electrical / Industrial / Mechanical)
• Government Certificate of Competence (Mechanical / Electrical)
• World Class Manufacturing Professional Maintenance Practitioner
• World Class Manufacturing Instructor
• 5 years experience in an engineering discipline in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
• 3 years experience in a management/leadership role.
• Ability to coach and develop others.
• Computer Literacy: MS Office & SAP
• Use of Web based data management systems (GXO, DMS).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• WCM Instructor
• PM Practitioner
• Professional Maintenance Pillar Management.

• 5s methodology
• EEM Practitioner
• Application of basic tools (OPLs, SOPs, Tags, QKs, EWO’s, etc).
• Knowledge of and can work within ISO9000 ISO14000 and OSHAS18000 systems.
