An exciting opportunity exists for a young Electronic Engineer in Pietermaritzburg with a good working knowledge of electronic hardware and firmware.

Requirements: 

• BSC Degree (Electronic Engineering)
• Previous exposure to electronic engineering environment
• Preferably 1 to 2 years work experience
• PCB CAD layout experience (Altium/Protel)
• Previous experience with designing with Embedded Firmware Programming skills (in particular C)
• Previous design experience advantageous (with 8051 based microcontrollers, PIC’s, Freescale microcontrollers)
• Good time management skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Good interaction skills

Duties:

• Technical support
• Resolving customer, sales or production related technical queries
• Product testing
• Product evaluation
• Creation of technical documentation in support of products
• Enhancing existing products through hardware and/or firmware improvements
• Developing new products in line with customer specifications
