RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a qualified ENGINEERING SERVICES ENGINEER for an international concern – position based in Pietermaritzburg.

This position will suit a young B.Sc. (Electronic Engineering) graduate with 1 - 2 years' experience.


REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
BSC Degree (Electronic Engineering).
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Previous exposure to electronic engineering environment with preferably 1 - 2 years work experience.
Previous experience with designing with 8051 based microcontrollers, PIC’s, Freescale microcontrollers.
Embedded Firmware Programming skills (in particular C).
A good working knowledge of electronic hardware and firmware (previous design experience advantageous but not a requirement).
PCB CAD layout experience (ideally Altium or Protel).
Strong time management skills and to be able to work under pressure.
Good communication and interaction skills.
Person will provide technical support for products in order to resolve any customer, sales or production related technical queries. This will involve product testing and evaluation as well as the creation of technical documentation to support existing products. In addition, this job will also involve enhancing existing products through hardware and /or firmware improvements, as well as developing new products in line with specific customer requirements.
