Job Overview
We are currently seeking an Engineering Storeman to be site based in Krugersdorp surroundings, carrying out a full range of operations to a high standard.
Whilst on secondment the position will report to the Engineering Manager for operational purposes, this role has responsibility for all engineering inventory and associated documentation that conforms to GMP and non-GMP requirements. To preserve correct item levels are stocked, in date and no stock outs.
To maintain overall responsibility for the site: Stores (GMP & non-GMP).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:
Responsibilities: Engineering Stores
• Ensuring appropriate requisitions are completed from relevant departments
• Stock control of all stocked consumables
• Regular stock takes
• Engineering products and associated assessments are maintained and up-to-date
• Goods receipting
• Collate information on planned and unplanned shortages and critical spares items
• Undertake procurement function with agreed supply chain
• Deal effectively with suppliers and handle all queries relating to delivery / stock discrepancies
• Record all goods received (consumables /spares) onto SAP
• Liaise with ‘internal customers’ relating to parts / spares delivery dates
• Ensure SAP (Inventory management system) is maintained and updated
• Track progress and update SAP inventory
• File ‘Delivery Note’ with Purchase Order and ‘Completed Items Forms’
• Undertake daily housekeeping audits ensuring all H&S requirements are enforced
• Storerooms are kept clean, tidy and organised
• Ensure stock process and stores catalogues are kept up to date
• Management of expiry dares and stock rotation is adhered to
• Make sure ordering is completed daily and delivery deadlines are adhered too
• Control of safety equipment
• Material certificates and certificates of conformity
• Ensure all issues are escalated to Engineering/Client representative
• Ensure Company property is adequately maintained and managed
• Ensure that all work undertaken complies with current Health & Safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with line manager, other staff and departments throughout
• Undertake training and attend meetings as required
• Actively contribute to the overall success of the operation
• Ensure all goods are stored in appropriate manner
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe environment
• Operate all equipment to the required Company standards
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork/administration in line with Company procedures
• To be efficient, polite, of smart appearance and diligent in the discharge of the duties required including wearing uniform provided.
• To undertake the tasks in accordance with Quality assurance systems and to be fully compliant with the Health and Safety Protocols as detailed in the manual.
• To conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner to minimise difficulties with the building environmental systems
• To ensure that all good communication channels are utilised to keep both the client and the company informed of relevant information.
• Any other duties as required by a position of this level within the organisation for which the individual is suitable or capable of.


Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Inventory system, ideally Maximo or SAP
• Good organisation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Meticulous and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Good people skills
• Use of Microsoft products
• To be able to work as part of a team or as an individual in varying environments.
• Good Oral and written communication skills
• Good Technical knowledge as well as the ability to multi-task
• Be able to work under pressure whilst keeping calm
