Our client in Port Elizabeth requires an Engineering Superintendent, who will report to the Engineering Manager. Must be in possession of GCC

Key Performance Areas:

To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard
Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
Maintain absenteeism above target
Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance
Enforce discipline and good housekeeping
Empower employees through continual training
Ensure schedules are correctly completed and returned timeously
Ensure that employees are performing their duties in a safe manner at all times
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Must Have an Electrical diploma
Must be trade tested
Must have PLC experience – Siemens, Allan Bradley
Must have an good understanding of Hydraulics and pneumatics
Must have a minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience in a similar field managing more than 15 people on a 3 shift basis
A certificate/qualification in supervisory management would be an advantage
