We are looking for a consultant to workon local and regional projects part-time with an ability to set-up an Enterprise Architecture function
Design (architecture) of complex / large solutions and proposals (include information transfer to stakeholders)
Establish governance, principles, procedures standards and guidelines based on Industry Best Practices
Facilitate regular technology feedback and information sessions
Setup and administer the Standards & Technology strategy
Identify and enable the adoption of “best practices”, provide guidance to the implementation of new technologies, establish architecture baselines and roadmaps
Create architectures for each of the key environments; define specifications, standards, SLA’s for the defined architectures
Negotiate architectures with involved parties
Implement new technology solution or changes to the existing technology landscape in alignment to the business processes and goals
Have an overview of the enterprise from a strategic perspective, business process perspective, application perspective, information perspective, technology perspective and people perspective
Assess the implications of specific changes
Identify gaps and disconnections within and between business processes
The EA function will also eliminate duplication of functionality and information and increase reuse thus cutting costs
Increase integration between systems across the organisation, thus reducing conflict and increasing efficiencies
Manage projects as a portfolio thereby ensuring standardisation, version control, data quality and efficient resource utilisation
Use of common principles, assumptions and terminology
Develop information systems with better integration and interoperability
Qualifications And Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems;
Equivalent experience required TOGAF certification;
5 years’ experience in an Enterprise/Solution Architect role;
Knowledge of the relevant Information Technology governance and legislative framework (such as COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, SDLC, ASAP, SOA).
