Job Title: Enterprise Development Coordinator

Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of Petra Diamonds Enterprise Development programmes and projects. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the Cullinan Diamond Resource Centre.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic business assessments to categorize new SMME’s
Maintain and update current Supplier database and planning of relevant training interventions
Identify and manage the office site for Resource Centre
Identify and manage new business opportunities presented by entrepreneurs
Provide assistance and support to current and potential entrepreneurs
Obtain, analyse and profile the procurement chain and record identified linkages to procurement
Manage general administrative tasks and functions
Liaise with relevant service providers to organize training interventions for SMME’s
Monitor exit strategy for unsuccessful businesses and keep Portfolio of Evidence
Organize security vetting for SMME’s
Guide and assist start-up companies within the local community relating to business development
Liaise with relevant stakeholders for loans, training, mentoring and ad hoc leads
Review and evaluate grant applications

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Business Management / Finance / Accounting or Entrepreneurship
3 years’ experience in entrepreneurship or small business start-up (environment/programmes/projects)
2 years’ experience in proposal writing and concept selling
2 years’ experience in Tender process
2 years’ experience in public relations, advertising and market research
Previous experience in Communication and Public Relations in a formal/ corporate environment
Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
Valid driver’s license (EB)

Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Project management and people skills
Problem solving and negotiation skills
Sound commercial knowledge with emphasis on entrepreneurship and small business start-up
Must be willing to travel extensively

Preference will be given to suitable candidates from the designated groups in line with the Company’s Employment Equity Policy and Plan and internal candidates. Pre-screening, profile testing, on mine assessments, medical and security clearance will form part of the recruitment and selection process. Short listed candidates will be required to attend a panel interview. Employment of the successful candidate is subject to passing on Mine induction and the aforementioned criteria.
