One of our clients has a position available for an Environmental Compliance Officer based in Kruger National Park.
Minimum requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Science or any Environmental Compliance/
• Legislation related Field.
• Good knowledge of Environmental legislation (Waste act, water act, NEMA, NEMPA, etc.)
• Experience working in a Big 5 area (area knowledge / local knowledge)
• Able to live on the reserve for extended time periods,
• Minimum Code 8 Drivers license (PDP would be advantageous) and experience with 4x4 driving and/or Code 10 will be advantageous.
• Speak English and basic Afrikaans (Shangaan / Tonga / IsiZulu advantageous).
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, etc.
• Basic QGIS or ArcGIS skills.
• Knowledge of working with GPS Systems
• Strong administration, with special emphasis on report writing
Salary package:
• R7000 and R10000 (depending on how many years environmental experience)
• Plus benefits: provident fund and 13th cheques and performance bonus (company dependent) plus accommodation on the reserve.
