MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to proactively manage projects or components of projects, take responsibility for resource allocation, liaise with client, specialists and authorities, manage quality assurance/client feedback and ensure he/she meets budgetary, quality, safety and timeframe targets, while exceeding client expectations.
Must have a sound knowledge of environmental legislation and the EIA process.
Must be able to develop and sustain client and stakeholder relationships.
Developing proposal submissions.
Must be able to manage small and large complex projects with guidance.
Must have worked on projects across various sectors within Africa and South Africa.
Understands multi-disciplinary issues of large complex projects in many disciplines and sectors.
Must be able to complete reports with guidance.
4 – 8 years’ environmental consulting experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. It will be essential that the successful candidate works well in a team and communicates confidently with others.
The ability to work to deadlines and within set budgets is essential.
The successful candidate will have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Have strong report writing and verbal skills.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internal and external
Ability to work as part of a team
Must have a valid driver’s licence
Must be willing to travel within South Africa and Africa

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION / MEMBERSHIP:
B.Sc. (Hons) or Masters in Environmental or Natural sciences or similar qualification
