PURPOSE OF POSITION:
• Provide data integration capability

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand ETL specs and build ETL Applications;
• Design and implement ETL for data movement;
• Ability to write ETL programmes/workflows
• Support and administer Unix/AIX operating systems
• Liaise with direct report daily with regards to assigned tasks;
• Complete projects/tasks assigned or working with other staff (internal /external) and following up on assigned projects/tasks

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Overall 2+ years of IT industry experience
• Minimum 2 years experience with ETL tools and data integration
• Minimum 2 years experience either SQL Server 2008/2012 or Oracle in writing procedures and queries
• Ability to perform data research and root cause analysis on data issues/discrepancies
• Previous experience of Data Warehousing/BI Concepts
• Ability to work in UNIX/AIX environments
• SSIS (advantageous)
• CBT training (advantageous)
• Metadata Hub training/experience (advantageous)
• Ab Initio experience (advantageous)
• Pervasive Data Integrator (advantageous)
• JAVA Spring Framework (advantageous)
• Drools Guvnor Configuration (advantageous)
• Web Service integration (advantageous)
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum required):
Graduates (B.Sc. computer science) or similar degree
OR
Persons with a technicon recognised type formal education with a minimum of 2 years working experience.
