ETQA Executive Manager
(Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2020)

A vacancy exists in the SETA for an ETQA Executive Manager. The purpose of the job is to ensure that the contents and quality of the SETA’s occupationally directed learning programs and their delivery are quality assured: that providers of education and training are accredited/approved and that certificates are issued or recommended timeously and meet the quality standards of the occupations. This position also ensures that emerging national standards for skills development are understood and implemented to ensure competent training standards within the ambit of the required legislative frameworks.
Requirements: A relevant NQF level 8 completed tertiary qualification. Availability to travel extensively and promote the SETA and ensure partnerships for occupationally directed training for the benefit of the industry. A related occupational qualification or trade is required; Quality assurance of skills training.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience of skills development and skills training management including setting of standards and execution of training and quality assurance; proven grounded experience in managing strategic projects for training of workers and related delivery including setting of standards, assessments and systems thinking; proven experience to deal with strategic alliances in the sector and in managing contracts and project management; grounded experience of skills development within the applicable legislative frameworks; working with a range of role players; manage people; dynamic leadership and ability to inspire and invigorate team members
Knowledge: ?Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation ? MIS Systems management ? Compliant execution of the required legislation such as the National Skills Development Strategy, the NQF Act, QCTO, etc.
