This person will be based in the Johannesburg office and will manage events in the regional offices. These regions are both local (Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Free State) and also in the rest of the continent (Botswana, Kenya, Namibia and Nigeria). The role will suit someone who is a meticulous planner and has an eye for detail.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The role has two main areas of responsibility - Events and Employee Wellness. The role will also need the person to work closely with others in office management.

Events
• Planning and managing the events calendar
• Co-ordinating invitations and RSVPs
• Booking presenters and speakers
• Managing the events budget, including expense capturing and invoicing
• Building and maintaining a client and supplier database
• Scouting venues and finding suppliers
• Consistently giving feedback to stakeholders
• Liaising with the Allan Gray events team in Cape Town
• Assisting with national events hosted in the regional offices.
• Employee Wellness
• Organising employee wellness functions, charity events and fitness events
• Contracting with venues and service suppliers
• Maintaining the employee wellness budget
• Chairing the Fun Committee, which organises internal monthly social events in
line with the programme approved by regional manager

• Liaising with the Employee Engagement and Wellness team in Cape Town
• Communicating and promoting employee wellness initiatives
• Participating in quarterly Allan Gray Wellness Forums
• Co-ordinating member assist sessions with the likes of NMG, Discovery Health and Ergomax

Office management
• Liaising with Facilities Management
• Liaising with People Operations and with the Learning Centre


QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma)
• Advanced computer literacy on the entire MS Office suite
