Our client is a well-established independent financial services group. We are seeking a seasoned Events Manager with a financial services background to work closely with Head of Group Marketing over all company divisions. Events include strategy sessions, work sessions, annual conference, flagship platform events, fiduciary conference and ad-hoc advised client functions.

REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Relevant degree/diploma
Minimum of 7 – 10 years Event Management experience within financial services
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license will be advantageous
Mature, professional and experienced individual
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Self-motivated and confident
Team player
Flexibility to work long hours
Pedantic organisational skillsets
Consistency and attention-to-detail especially proof-reading invitations and venue contractual detail etc.
Personality and patience in abundance
Analytical with regards to budget and spend analyses
Resilience, hard worker, brand loyal
Bilingual is will be advantageous
Ability to build internal and external relationships
Clear ITC and criminal record

DUTIES
Overall accountability for events strategy, calendar and overall budget
Management of annual budget
Reviewing of contacts, contractual obligations and divisional guidelines
Reporting of feedback forms, banqueting staff feedback, approval of events, spend management, invoice approval
Updating of central calendar including managing conflicts and collaborate where audiences allow
Negotiation of corporate prices
Gift ideas, entertainment and guest speaker management
Line management of one event co-ordinator and on-site events management
Central co-ordination of agendas, guest lists and other documents to begin invitation process
Final accountability to invitation wording, designs, branding and gifts
Evaluate proposals on venue options and cost-saving initiatives
Placement of clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for co-ordinator
Liaison with industry bodies, advisors and support divisions
Ideas on how to improve current process and make it more client centric, complete and regular oversight
Management and enhancement of internal events system
Briefing of developers, liaison with IT, adherence to business specifications, centralised system roll-out, liaising on divisional requirements
Liaison with suppliers, team, management, business hubs and internal training
Setting and management of deadlines in line with events guidelines
Coordination of training to make offices more effective at overall events management
Onsite event management including comprehensive travel and event representation
Process for delivery and collection of banners, conference material and courier services
