GMS seeks to employ an assistant to the Principal Officer to assist him in fulfilling his statutory obligations.

Key performance duties include the following:

Assist with the Scheme’s regulatory obligations
Assist with and/or co-ordinate special projects and reports as required
Keep accurate records and files at all times and as appropriate
Organise the logistics and packs of board meetings
Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications on behalf of the Principal Officer
Ad hoc special investigations
Assist with general office duties and human resources as required
Liaising and communicating with different stakeholders

The successful candidate must be in possession of the following:

Medical Scheme related experience
5 years work experience in administrative and assistant roles at an executive level
Exceedingly well organised, highly flexible
Ability to compose and edit written materials
Able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once and to meet deadlines
Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
