LLB/Law Degree/Admitted Attorney or Advocate
Our client is a Statutory Body and they looking for a Executive Legal Services. The position reports to the CEO and we looking for a person with a LLB or LAW Degree with 10 years legal experience with 5 years at Senior Management Level. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of the general application of legislation governing statutory councils.
Provision of in-house advisory, interpretive and administrative services regarding legal matters, ensuring compliance to relevant legislation and regulations to support the attainment of legislative compliance
Advising the Council, CEO and Executive in all matters relating to corporate legal matters and other legislation
As a member of the Executive Team work with EXCO and Council by participating in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives
Development of long term functional strategy for the division
Provision of in house legal services advice on wide ranging matters
Conducting of legal research and comparative benchmarking including provision of in house or outsourced legal opinions
Oversight of the drafting and vetting of Legal documents
Oversight the entire appeal process value chain
Representation of matters pertaining to the review of legislation and associated rules and regulation

LLB/LAW DEGREE
Admission as an Attorney/Advocate
10 years legal experrience with 5 years at Senior Management Level
