You will be required to utilise your strong manufacturing experience in conjunction with a globally
based company that constantly explores new frontiers.
You will be required to participate on the Executive Management Team and will be responsible for
all assembly operations, streamlining and improving current systems and existing procedures.
The successful applicant will need to have a strong technical knowledge of engineering concepts
and principles, the enforcement of discipline relating to company code of conduct and ensuring
that all systems are entrenched in the subordinates. The incumbent must have the ability to
consistently multi-task and oversee several projects. It is important to have the ability to operate
at a strategic level and train and mentor subordinates

Job Responsibilities:
Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing well controlled
manufacturing systems; validating manufacturing and logistic processes; enforcing
discipline; leading staff. Striving for manufacturing excellence by executing TPM and
lean manufacturing techniques.
The Operations Manager will be overall responsible for Component procurement, Internal and
External Logistics, Assembly, Process quality, Dispatch and Customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Managing Director and serving as an Executive member of the Management
Team, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing
leadership for the organization's assembly functions. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel
and participate globally with the ability to yokoten best practices.
Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and
implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

Qualifications
The minimum qualification is a degree or national higher diploma (NQF level 7) in
industrial engineering with 7 Years’ experience in an operations management function
with a stable track record. Good understanding of ISO standards. A strong technical
background in automotive will be a strong advantage. Lean Manufacturing competence with a strong
emphasis on TPM is essential. The suitable candidate must have proven leadership abilities and be
able to work in a team.
Abilities
Kaizen culture, Process Improvement, Analyzing Information, Strategic Planning, Verbal
Communication, Quality Engineering, Emphasizing Excellence and Attention to Detail,
Thoroughness, Dealing with Complexity and disciplining to standards. Production line experience essential with strong management
skills (staff of 80 to 100)
