Export Consultant
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng
Offer: R8500.00 per month with a 3 – 6 month probationary period. Company benefits will only be provided after successful completion of the probationary period

JOB PURPOSE
Accountable for accurately inputting and reviewing importer/exporter documentation to issue a Certificate, ensuring products conform with relevant standards of client government and company policies

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for ensuring Certificates issued are compliance with the relevant client government’s standards and company’s operating standards
Client documentation reviewed in line with KPI /Operational Procedures and standards ensuring:
o All relevant information is true, accurate and presented in accordance with company quality standards
o Verification on all new client files are entered into the system within 24 hours of receipt of the authorization documents
o Guidelines are send to all new exporters on behalf of the csc
Accuracy of client data both exporter/importer upon receipt of request for inspection and/or testing is paramount ensuring
o Documentation provided can be used and where requested translated into English language
o Inspection and/or testing requests are generated with a same day of receipt and inspection packages are in accordance with procedures for onward cascade to Inspections Coordinator in CSC
o Discrepancy are address in line with procedure and appropriate authorisation is sort
Validity of client credit background to be checked ensuring:
o You liaise with colleague in CSC and check all relevant information has been received and verified
o Description of goods inspected and/or tested are checked against the final documentation
o Recorded information is accurate and in line with operational guidelines
o Ensure that all re-inspection and/or testing fees are paid before generating new Inspection requests
o Ensure invoicing is in line with country specific requirements
Ensure work queue is reviewed, maintained and updated on a daily basis ensuring:
o All correspondence received via e-mail/fax for a relevant file into ASTRA is inputted
o Communication with Customer Service Executive via e-mail/fax/Skype is uploaded on the file in ASTRA
o All written/verbal communication with Customer Service Executives is complete
o products inspected and/or tested conforms to the various standards as per CVG's
Build working relationships with Technical Support to address client queries
Quality Assurance is a critical success factor ensuring
o Documents/certificates are proof read for quality and dispatching of final certificate
o Issuing of re-issues and/or amendments to certificates are accurate and correct
Resolve any issues/problems for clients in partnership with colleagues in oversees customer centres
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Operations Supervisor

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Demonstrable experience in international trade in Import/Export, Logistics or similar industries and/or experience of working in an inspection/certification industry and/or the compliance verification of products will be an advantage
Desired languages are Mandarin, Japanese and other Asian languages, and European languages
Desired degree or above holder/minimum of a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Excellent written and verbal English
Resilient with an ability to work in a fast paced multi-task environment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good analytical skills and the ability to make information based judgements with good attention to detail
Computer literate in Microsoft packages
Flexible approach to working hours and travel
