Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven Export / Import (EXIM) Supervisor, The Position will be in Cape Town.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 Shipping Administration
 ? Supervise Shipping Administration Daily Functions
? Monitor that Outstanding EXIM spread sheets are always up-to-date in order to keep all parties informed about the shipments
? Sign off and Despatch final client documentation as required per shipment and ensure that these reach the client in good time
? Monitor that shipments are not sent without the necessary QA checks & documentation when necessary
? Monitor that shipments that are not sent without Letters of Credit when necessary
? All departmental function related issues to be managed, liaising with the Supply Chain Manager where necessary
? Liaising with procurement regarding direct cross trades, ensuring all documentation is correct and with the correct person at the required time  Rates:       
? Liaise with Shipping Lines & Freight Forwarders regarding rates and prices to maximise cost efficiency
? Quote freight availability and shipping prices for Sales upon request   SAGE and due processes      
? Generating SAGE sales orders and all the required documents related to quotations from Sales  ? Advise and ensure compliance with company policies    
? Communicate with management regarding any irregular issues/concerns  
? Managing and reporting Key Performance Indicators for exports & imports
 
Finance 
? Signing off clearing and forwarding agents invoices that rates are being charged correctly
? Ensuring that other payments are signed off and are correct   
? Reconciliation of accounts and monthly accruals

> Address misconduct and deviation from the Erakis values consistently 
> Ensure that all employees have access to the Erakis policies and procedures 
> Create an environment which attracts the best people and retains them 
> Positively practice and communicate the Erakis values and ensure that employees understand what these are

Job Requirements:

Education, Experience:
Grade 12 certificate       ?
Import/Export procedures certificate     ?
Working knowledge and experience of managing exports & imports  ?
Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge   ?
Fluency in English and Afrikaans      ?
Literacy and numerical abilities to ensure that the EXIM function can run effectively        ? Experience in navigating and utilising an ERP system (eg. SAGE
