Export Manager is needed for a FMCG Company based in Johannesburg North.
Purpose of the job is to provide all services relating to Affiliate customers for optimal development of affiliate business done with importers taking into account their specific legislative requirements (emerging countries, socio-cultural and legal differences, external customer, terms of payment, service levels, INCO Terms, lead
DIMENSION
Facilitate exports from South Africa and any other future growth of brands
Manage well the balance between good customer service, and internal discipline procedures, lead times and responsiveness to a changing market
Provide right of service – communication with counterpart on forecast to loading to receiving orders
Adherence to internal process while enhancing procedures and processes to support and develop relationships with Exports markets
Accountable for forecasts and collaboration with Factory to deliver OTIF; Intermediary for management of SMR process within S&OP+
Responsible for total affiliate volume in excess of 10 000T per annum
Develop relationships and collaborate with the local authorities to develop new markets
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Administer all export of goods and ensure compliance to all organizational policies and procedures and monitor all financial and currency processes and transactions and manage all communication with export authorities for all required countries
Liaising with all 3rd party providers to allow the efficient delivery of products to affiliate customers.
Design and implement all export strategies
Liaising with Forecast Manager and Factory to ensure affiliate customers’ volumes accounted for.
Ensure Customer Master Data maintained for Affiliate customers in Navision.
Track costs of preferred Shipping Lines and Logistics Providers – build cost to serve model
Supervise efficient working of sales staff and ensure compliance to all export objectives
Provide training to all export team and perform assessment of all work and assist to achieve all export objectives

NATURE AND SCOPE
Job Content:
• Manage the global process of orders relating to affiliate customers from forecasting, order taking, shipping, document preparation, invoicing, monitoring payments and lettering.
• Reporting on affiliate customers KPI’s (Service levels, sales volumes, forecast accuracy, quality)
• Update the ordering list of product according local regulation & product launchings.
• Organize logistics flows between RC factory, internal warehouse, logistics providers.
• Prepare all documents relating to affiliate customers.
• Process claims with relation to affiliate customers.
• Invoice, Letter and follow the customer accounts.
• Benchmark transporters to help Importers to optimize and reduce their logistics costs.
• Ensure all prices for affiliate customers are maintained to quarterly ICP and/or relevant price lists
• Maintain current and accurate database of exports portfolio of skus for export countries

Background Experience & Qualifications
• Leading, motivating and Engaging a team
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Exports & Imports/International trade
• Customer Service management experience
• 5+ years’ experience in Exports Management or Supervisory role
• Proficiency in INCO Terms and managing international trade within manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency in English (reading and writing) and any other language (French is beneficial)
• Advanced Computer Skills (WMS, Excel, Word, Navision - ERP)
