We have a new vacancy, looking for EXTERNAL SALES CLERK BIZ DEPARTMENT at our clients Cape town office . You will be selling Shipping Container Space and approaching any companies that need goods exported.
Preferably male candidate. Work experience of no more than 8 years .

Requirements
2 years’ experience in shipping environment preferably ships agency
Some Experience in Sales department essential
Maritime qualification or workplace experience NQF 4/5
Strong Interpersonal skills and handling difficult clients and principals
Stress Tolerance in an ever-changing environment
Computer skills
Planning and organising skills
Professional Candidate to deal with third parties
Able to get to the office before 08h00 everyday (punctual, self-disciplined)
Drivers Licence and Car
Ability to work under pressure under minimum supervision
Prepare to entertain at times suitable to the client or visitor

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Monthly / weekly reports to management covering our clients service, freight rates, competitor activities and budgets, and customer visits etc
Making appointments for customer visits, Regular communication with clients either via personal visits and telephonic contact i.e. calls per week, in order to obtain market related information and secure business.
Analysis of customers’ reports and performance status, to improve volume for category upgrading.
Continually source New Customers and increase Customer Support Data base.
Monitoring of daily booking lists
Entertain customers as per policy
Following up on quotes and queries for efficient client relationship.
Answering all correspondence within 24 hours.
Attend sales meetings with customers and management.
Following up on sales leads received and interchange sales leads with relevant branches or agencies
Liaising with other departments to solve customer problems/ queries
Keep abreast of market/client/competitor activities related news to inform management or clients
Liaison With Principals For Rates / Customer Enquiries
Establishing / Maintaining Customer Database
Monthly direct liaison with top 20 clients
