Position: External Sales Representative (Technical Representative)

Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing company that supplies construction contractors, specialist structural steel contractors and countless sub-contractors. The company supplies various products to civil disciplines from anchors (Chemical Bonded Anchors, Mechanical Expansion Anchors, Light Duty & Cavity, Construction Screws, Drill Bits, Direct Fastening, and Pipe Clamp & Installation Systems), ceilings, partitioning, plumbing, electrical, façade and insulation to most of the major construction projects throughout the Sub-continent. Their export market has over the years included the Indian Ocean Islands, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania and the DRC.
A vacancy exists for an External Sales Representative to be based in Durban but service the entire KwaZulu - Natal region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Building, maintaining and expanding relationships with regional and national customer base, as well as generating new business
Product demonstrations to new customers
Sales of all systems and products, as well as product support when required
Meet and exceed targets as set forward by the company
Administration as well as additional tasks that are required for the efficient completion of your duties
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants for this position must fulfill the following requirements:
External Technical Sales experience – previous experience selling Mechanical Expansion Anchors, Light Duty & Cavity, Construction Screws, Drill Bits, Direct Fastening, Pipe Clamp & Installation Systems)
Valid unendorsed South African drivers licence
Own reliable vehicle
Ability to work unsupervised
Honest and reliable
Sense of responsibility and accountability
Excellent communication skills
Technical acumen
Computer literate in MS Office, email etc.
Remuneration Market-related salary :
Basic salary R16000.00 pm (Including Car Allowance)
